PostRank?

Google has acquired another company.  No, it’s not WonderWebz.  It’s a company called PostRank.

In a recent article on the Google Webmaster Blog, Google discussed how they will be looking for new ways to rank websites, and considering their acquisition of PostRank, it will have a lot to do with the following:

  • user approval of individual posts
  • social interaction with posts (comments, retweet, sharing to Facebook)
  • no spelling, stylistic, or factual errors on posts
  • up-to-date WordPress integration

It seems Google is about to help clean up the Internet!  I was especially excited to see that Google will now email Webmasters to remind them that their WordPress sites need updating.  Thanks, Google!
